A New Website, A New Look
Decided to make some changes to the old site. Unfortunately, SXSW ended up causing me to have to postpone my design plans. Fortunately, I've started the new one and it's looking great!
The redesign has been a long time coming, and began as a desire to escape from the confines and general constructs that WordPress provides. While it is possible to perform some of the lesser functions like relationships and custom fields in WP, I find that it takes far too much effort and time to make those things happen. With ExpressionEngine, I find that I have to worry a lot less about my development, and can focus more on the actual deployment of the site.
The site is still a work in progress, and I'm hammering out the details (I'm looking at you, Internet Explorer), so I'll keep adding more as the week goes on. Till then, I'm just excited to have a new site that I can be proud of!
